Apple TV published its release calendar for November, featuring a mix of new limited series, feature films, and animated specials. The slate includes a heist thriller starring Anthony Mackie and a historical drama from the director of the Academy Award winner 'CODA.'
The month begins on November 4 with the second season of 'Stick,' a sports comedy created by Jason Keller. Owen Wilson returns as Pryce Cahill, a former professional golfer working at a sporting goods store in Indiana. In this installment, Cahill trains Santi, a troubled 17-year-old prodigy played by Peter Dager. On November 6, the docuseries 'Awkwafina: The Unlikely Cook' premieres. The series follows comedian Nora Lum on a road trip to learn cooking skills in an effort to save her family's restaurant.
November 13 marks the busiest day of the schedule with three distinct releases. '12 12 12' is a heist drama where each episode shifts between three time periods: the 12 months of planning, the 12 hours of the execution, and the 12 days of aftermath. The series centers on a raid of a bank vault in Zurich, featuring Mackie as a disgraced FBI agent and Jamie Dornan as a career criminal.
Also arriving on November 13 is 'Being Heumann,' a drama film based on true events from 1977. Ruth Madeley portrays Judy Heumann, a disabled woman who leads a coalition in a protest that becomes the longest occupation of a federal building in U.S. history. Mark Ruffalo plays a bureaucrat opposing the group, and Siân Heder directs the film. The same day brings the animated special 'Snoopy Presents: 12 Days of Snoopy,' in which Snoopy attempts to get off Santa's naughty list.
The lineup concludes on November 25 with 'Way of the Warrior Kid,' an action drama based on the novel by former Navy SEAL Jocko Willink. Jude Hill plays a bullied middle schooler who learns from his uncle, a recovering SEAL played by Chris Pratt. Linda Cardellini appears as the protagonist's mother, and McG directs the film from a screenplay by Will Staples.
Existing series will also add new episodes to the platform. 'Brothers' and the British comedy 'Small Prophets' continue through November 4. The documentary series 'Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars' runs until November 6. 'Where's Wanda?' airs through December 9, and the thriller 'Nocturne' continues until December 25. Apple TV is priced at $14.99 per month, with a lower cost available through the Apple One bundle.
