Vanessa Trump announced Friday that recent testing indicates she is free of cancer, closing out a battle with breast cancer that began earlier this year. The 48-year-old shared the update directly with her daughter's social media audience, stating that her results came back clear. She was diagnosed with the disease in April and disclosed the condition publicly the following month. At that time, she confirmed undergoing surgery and noted that her medical team was formulating a treatment plan.

The announcement was distributed via a short video posted to the Instagram account of her 19-year-old daughter, Kai Trump. Vanessa Trump has five children with Donald Trump Jr., who is the eldest son of President Donald Trump. The brief clip serves as a precursor to a longer YouTube segment scheduled for release on Saturday, which will feature a discussion between Vanessa and her daughter focused on breast cancer awareness and prevention.

Kai Trump wrote in her caption that the post coincides with Breast Cancer Awareness Month. She noted that October serves as a time to raise awareness about early detection, education, and support for those affected by the condition. Kai further explained that she sat down with her mother and Dr. Nicole Saphier to discuss the medical journey and to learn more about prevention and early detection.

The social media post drew significant engagement, accumulating more than 20,000 likes and hundreds of comments from individuals offering support and well-wishes. Among those responding was American singer and media personality Mary Millben.

The update arrives against the backdrop of national health statistics regarding the condition. The American Cancer Society reports that the average risk of a woman in the United States developing breast cancer is approximately 1 in 8, or 13%. The group also reports that the disease accounts for 30% of all new female cancers each year.

Medical guidelines indicate that surgery cures most breast cancers. Where some disease remains, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and endocrine therapy can lower the long-term risk. Treatment continues to advance, with more targeted therapies for early breast cancer, new types of hormonal therapy, and more precise and effective radiotherapy.
